Not to much smoke today and not to many helicopters. This is a good thing. Quiet for a change and being able to breath is always a plus.
The process server was by again this morning. Persistant bastard....! Thinking it's time for Dave to go spend some time at the claim ... but then again mom's hopping on the Senior bus to ... yes, it's true ... so look out Jen & Justin ... Eureka! She will be coming your way Wed. So we will have the house to ourselves for the first time in awhile....hmmmm. But...the house to myself would be nice......yes....I think so. I should be so lucky!
The tomatoes have gone crazy. It's been a good veggie year. Can't wait till next years asparagas crop. It's gonna be good. And maybe artichokes next year too. If the deer hadn't eaten last years artichoke plants we would have had some outrageous artichokes this year. Now that the garden is mostly fenced in like Fort Knox and the veggies have been planted in raised planters (cement) the deer and the gopher's haven't had much luck getting to the plants. So going to include some pic's here of the garden .... again:
Brussel sprouts.....love them raw....hate them cooked!
This poor cucumber...I tried to save it when it was young but Dave loves to torture! Not quite sure how long he intends to let this go on ......
Yes...that is me ***cough***. Petey loves any and all vegetables. He will eat them as soon as you pick them if you let him. Carrots are among his all time favorites!
Gotta love those bell tomatoes! Damn.....
This is a bit blurry....sorry. Apples off our tree in background. Made for some good old fashioned sour cream apple pie...let me tell you! Just like my grandma used to make! YUM!
Well that's all for now....time to feed the masses. Or at least get dinner started. Make sure to check out tattooedjen and burl235 new recipe site! Visit jen's blog and you can link from there. I promise you can not go wrong with these recipes. These two know good food!
