I got up an went to work this morning.  Not really ready but need to work.  All was good and normal.  My supervisor showed up as usual around 9:00 a.m. we talked and laughed and off she went to her office.  Her office is in another building on a different property.  I left at 10:30 a.m. as always.

I get home. Check on mom.  Get some soup.  Talk to Dave.  Phone rings.

Me:  Hello
My Temp Service:  Julie?
Me:  Yes.
My Temp Service:  This is K. with "name of company here".  I just got off the phone with S. (my supervisor).
Me:  Yes .... ?
K:  She asked that we phone you and tell you to turn in your keys .... your help is no longer needed.
Me:  ***dead silence***
K:  Julie?
Me:  Huh? Why?
K:  She said you just didn't quite fit in.  No complaints about your performance.
Me:  What?
K:  Are you surprised by this?
Me:  Yes.  Just slightly.  I don't get it.
K:  Are you ok?
Me:  No .... not really.
K:  I have another assignment for you if your interested.  It's in the next town over (30+ miles away).
Me:  I'm still in shock here ....
K:  Well, you calm down a minute and call me back.

WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?  OMG ......

In California they can fire you without giving a reason.  And "not fitting in" is not a good reason here.  I "fit" in just fine.  I worked alone.  How the hell can you not "fit in"?

AM I TRULY DESERVING OF THIS?  I DON'T KNOW.  I HAVE NEVER BEEN TREATED SO BADLY ANYWHERE ELSE (MEANING GEOGRAPHY WISE) BY EMPLOYERS.  I WORK HARD.  I THINK I'M FAIRLY INTELLIGENT.  I'M JUST DYING INSIDE RIGHT NOW .... DAMN IT!  SHIT!

The job wasn't that great .... but that's not the point.  God help me ....
