Black's Bridge. This bridge crosses the Scott River and connects the west & east sides of the valley. We live on the west side of the valley. Crossed over on our journey today.
Taken from Black's Bridge. Looking up river. Blackberry bushes line the bank.
Looking down river from bridge. River is down quite a bit. The local ranchers use a lot of this water for irrigation of their fields. In Spring this water is running quite high and swift. Towards the beginning to middle of summer this is a great rafting river for local kids.
The ranchers have been busy bailing up their last cutting of hay. Water lines are being broken down now. Fields are turning brown. The growing season is over.
Some of our local residents. These didn't run when I pulled out the camera.
One of many old abandoned buildings out in a field. They are scattered everywhere around here. The road we were on here is actually part of the Oregon Trail.
Another building in the same field. Saw one of the biggest bucks ever here a few years back. No such luck today.
This barn was chuck full of hay. Can't tell in the picture ... so sorry about that. I tried.
Aspen trees. Probably one of my top three favorite trees. Love the way the wind sounds blowing through the leaves. So soothing!
Well, hope everyone enjoys the pictures as much as I enjoyed our little outting. Enjoy Fall. Enjoy the colors.
Peace. J.
