coffeeGoing to finish this second cup of coffee and head out for an early walk / jog this morning ..... at least those are my good intentions.
Then the fun part of the day ..... flower shopping and planting. I love flowers. They brighten up the yard ..... and my attitude ..... lol. We have a local grower here and she has awesome health plants and a wide variety. Her prices are unbelievable .... and she always tends to give me a couple free six packs here and there. Good way to keep 'em coming back for more. Anyway mom handed me fifty bucks and said go buy ..... so I'm going to!
Speaking of mom ..... I've been have a real issue lately ..... so what else is new, eh? She has been literally hunting me down ..... no matter where I am ..... for stupid stuff. For example ..... some old lady at bingo the other night who knows I bead told me she had a line on beads .... dirt cheap ..... and would call with the information. Well, she did .... on moms phone .... which if you don't have my cell is the only way to get hold of me. Dave and I had taken off to burn a bowl and had walked out to the barn which is a fair distance from the house when your 85 and unable to walk stably ..... and no sooner do I take a hit then there is mom stumbling .... literally .... towards us ..... "there you are .... hiding from me". Bottom line ..... yes, we were. Anyway ..... she is waving this piece of paper with an address link to this beading website. "Did you actually feel you had to walk all the way out here and give this to me?" "It could of been important" .... she says. It could of waited .... and I told her so.
That is one example ..... out of many ..... she has been just walking into my room lately too .... which is my only PRIVACY ..... and as many times as I tell her to quit, she does it anyway. You know, I'm not flipping 16 ...... why do I feel like it?
We are getting her connected to the county lifeline program so that when we are in at the claim she will just have to push a button if she needs help. And we won't worry so much. We also have a friend that loves to come and check on her. I think she feeds him goodies when he visits ..... so he will always stop by. And she thinks he is just the greatest. And he'll throw hay to the llamas and feed the chickens too.
Ten days and counting. Then we get to spend a whole day with lauralew and her beau infinityedge over on the coast. We will be staying with tattooedjen and intrepid28 and so it will be good to see them and visit as well. A much needed break from here. YAY!
The coffee is now cold and needs a reheat ..... one way to put off putting on those hiking shoes .... lol. Actually it has been great the last few days. Yesterday I walked / jogged to the gate the now closes this forest service road. Probably about three miles round trip ..... today I will go on up aways. Petey and I found Patterson Creek yesterday too on our journey .... the creek the road is named after. It comes out just down the road from us aways next to the highway but I had never really followed it up to see where its roots were. Today I will continue on. I should say we .... Petey is coming to expect these little hikes ..... we couldn't leave quick enough for him yesterday.
Off to nuke the coffee ..... change into my hiking clothes ..... smoke a bowl and take off to enjoy the morning.
