musicI would be lying 100% if I said I had kept up to date on music in the last 20+ years. If it was not for others constantly introducing me to "new music" I would still be living in the 60's, 70's and 80's. The 90's are a blur as far as music goes ..... due to where we lived at the time radio was not an option, MTV was available but not high on my list of channels to watch and I just lost touch with music for awhile. I've been coming around the last few years but still am behind. As with the subject of this video. lauralew has mentioned several times the name Tracy Chapman so this afternoon I checked it out. And as usual she (lauralew) knows her stuff. Amazing song, amazing lady, amazing voice ...... just amazing .....
With that in mind I hope I never stop drinking in the different flavors that are offered up to me in the music world ..... and help to remind me that music is something I love, treasure and will never tire of. Music was such a huge part of my life, my expression as I grew up ..... why should that change? Why did I let artists like these slip on by? I don't know, just glad to know them now.
