and here I am .... wasting time wondering what to blog about. I'm not really a philosophical or intellectual person. I consider myself fairly simple and easy going with my thoughts. And it can really take quite a bit to get me on a soapbox about something. But when I do get on that soapbox ... look out!
Mom leaves tomorrow for Eureka. Four days without her around. I'm starting to feel like a teenager ... wondering what kind of fun stuff I can get into while she is away. I can run around naked if I want to! I can crank the stereo! I can let the cats out into the main part of the house! Kidding .... well maybe not ... well maybe .... no ... not kidding!
Need to get out and do some more serious veggie picking. Think I may have enough basil for another batch or two of pesto for freezing. Need to do it soon.
Having a yard sale this weekend. Do this every year at least once. They are a lot of work but can sometimes be quite profitable. This time we have such a hodge podge of stuff (shit) that it probably won't be a big money making affair. Friday afternoon & evening will be spent setting up. Then seven hours of fun on Saturday. Then putting all the stuff (shit) that didn't sell away once again. This is big yard sale country though. It's a big social thing.
Not much left for this girl to ramble on about but I do enjoy posting pictures so todays picture choices are:
The chicken coop that Dave built. I actually love the unfinished cut boards he used on this and think a little cabin done the same way would be to cute. He added this on to the back of the barn and we have entry to the nests through the inside back of the barn.
The hens were still young when this was taken but they really liked the tree Dave put inside the coop. Elvis the rooster is standing on the nesting boxes. We just started getting eggs regularly about a month ago. Fun stuff. I actually really enjoy watching the chickens. They can be quite comical.
Ok....I'm done now...have a great day all! What's left of it.
