Finally got some salsa made today.  More to be made tomorrow.  I can not believe how cold it is. The wind has been blowing all day.  Got yard sale things boxed up but still need to carry back out to shop and put back on the shelves.  Dave has been building a trailer and it's hard to manuver around in there right now. Will be glad when he gets this last project done. He may actually have a chance to rest. Not that he would ... but it is a nice thought.

Mom had appointment with othopedic surgeon today. Recommending a full knee replacement for her. 3 to 5 days in the hospital and 6 to 8 weeks recovery time. 84 years old and getting a new knee. If it helps keep her mobile a bit longer (and I mean walking not driving) and eases her pain .... I'm all for it.

Making tattooedjen 's stuffed chicken breasts tonight. Finally. We are all here at the same time to eat dinner together ... I've been wanting to try this for awhile. Just going to have to watch my portions ... diet started today. Heading to the kitchen in a minute to finish prep work and get it in the oven. Yum!

Decided to head to the gold claim for our anniversary since we can't really afford to do what we would normally. Looking forward to it.  Missed berry picking season but the weather should be perfect on Friday for doing a little digging and panning. Yes .... !

Beargrass flower.  They only bloom every 5 - 7 years at a certain elevation and mostly around white fir trees. Dave & I saw these for the first time ever this year and had to come home and research what the heck they were. Sure are pretty flowers and actually lasted a few weeks.
