OK ..... here's the story:

Last weekend I get a call from the woman who's B & B Michele & I clean.  You may or may  not remember Michele's older son was home for 10 days and she was not going to to any cleaning while he was here. Anyway the woman from the B & B has perspective buyers coming and needed the place cleaned right away. Michele gave her my phone number because she wasn't planning on doing anything unless she had to. I need the money so I went and cleaned the main B & B and another guest house. I had called Michele on the evening before to see if she wanted to help me because at this time I thought I still had a job and my health screening was that afternoon and if she helped I would be able to get out of there sooner. At first she said yes ..... then she called back and said no. It wasn't worth it to her to have to drive into town for a couple of hours. So I did it alone ..... and ended up cancelling the health screening because it was while I was cleaning that I got the news ..... I no longer had the job.

So last night the woman from the B & B phones again.  She wants me to do some outdoor yard work for her .... weeding, raking and sooner or later planting flowers. I told her I'd be happy to ..... then she asked me if I had talked to Michele. I told her no ..... that I was letting her enjoy her time with her son and get some rest and was waiting for her to call me. Then she tells me that Michele had asked her (the B & B lady) if she wanted her to come and clean on Wednesday? The B & B lady said yes ...... why? And then Michele says "because I figured Julie had come in and taken my job ..... and you wouldn't want me back." I guess the B & B lady then went off on her because it was her that had given the B & B lady my number in the first place. And I guess Michele got quiet and didn't say anything else.

Now I haven't heard from Michele at all. Nothing. She will usually call ahead of time to let me know what's up with the cleaning schedule for the week. So far it sounds like I won't hear from her. I'm not sure if she even knows I lost the job ...... unless the B & B lady told her. And I didn't ask.

This was someone that I thought I had a really good friend in. Like my first real friend since I left Bear Valley seven years ago. Now she is on my call list today ..... I want to get to the bottom of what the fuck is going on in her head. Because I just don't get it ...... I really really don't.  And on a day where I already am having to gear up for unpleasant phone calls ..... this just isn't something I wanted to have to do. But if I don't nip it in the bud now ..... who knows ... ?

Thanks for letting me rant ..... needed to scream it out to someone ..... my life is madness .... never ending madness ....
