tvI just saw something flipping through the channels on the tv in the shop that I really feel the need to write about .... only because .... well, it's so freaking funny ..... it's probably going to be one of those "you had to be there moments" but .... I'm sharing anyway ....
I'm not exactly sure what they were called but for the lack of anything better right at the moment lets call them the "Biker Olympics" ..... this was on the Speed channel, btw ..... for those who might want to catch the re-run. It was bikers .... on their Harley's basically doing rodeo stunts ..... "barrels" for example .... where the rider sees how fast they can make a turn around barrels set equal lengths apart .... whoever does it the fastest wins ..... just like on a horse. That actually wasn't to bizzare .... but then came the ..... Weiner Eating contest.
Imagine if you will ..... a raw hot dog hanging from a string from a log held between two more logs about 10' - 12' tall maybe .... could be taller, I don't know .... the hot dog has been dipped heavily in mustard. A typical biker type dude is driving and his "woman" or somebody's elses's for all I know .... is on the back of the bike. At no time are their feet allowed to touch the ground. The driver drives as slow as possible toward the weiner hanging from a string ...... as they approach the woman will stand up on bike pegs reach out with mouth wide open and swallow as much of the weiner as she can ..... and they all had their own style for sure. They have to keep moving so balance is involved .... and that I guess would be the athletic part of this particular game. Otherwise .... um, it was pretty close to suggestive .... and very funny.
The winner won by 1 3/4" .... a healthy swallow for sure.
I left the shop at that point ..... actually ..... seriously laughing my ass off. So .... there you have it ..... the Biker Games at their finest ..... check your local listing for a repeat of this fine fine bit of sport. The Speed Channel .... in case you forgot .... no really, I won't tell .... go ahead and watch .....
