Well today I finally went down to the next little town and applied at the local bar there.  When we first moved here it was called "Charlie Bob's".  It's since been bought and sold twice.  The owners before the current one did a pretty good job of brining the bar back alive again.  They called it "Legends Saloon".  Now under this new ownership it is called "Cold Stream Tavern" and this guy has done a lot of work to this little bar.  It is totally re-done on the inside and he's is currently re-doing the old brick work on the front with river rock.  It really is looking nice.  I got excited the minute I walked in the door.  Rumor had it that a restaurant was going to be added on and obviously a kitchen.  He confirmed the rumor and from what I can see this place could be quite nice!  He said it would be a steak house.

He said he had a full staff right now but that one of his girls had just gotten another job driving the commuter bus that goes from our valley  here over to Yreka and surrounding areas.  He said he wasn't sure if she would keep working there or not.  He also said that I was at the top of his list when a position does come available.  I am so glad I have bartended before.  And my foot will be in the door to step into a waitress position.  I hope something happens sooner than later.  This would be great!  Yeah!

Other than that excitement not much else is going on.  Same old stuff.  Dave is out building a shed attached to the chicken coop to store feed in this winter.  I'm trying to stay warm - have been chilled all day.  It is one heck of pretty day here though.  The last two have been awesome.  I'd take a few degrees warmer though!

My weekend is here. Don't go back to work till Wednesday morning.  I'm ready for it.  Sleep sounds really good.  Maybe a nap before dinner .... nah .... don't think so.  Do think I'll head out and see how many presents the Eggplants left for me today.
