I was wondering what to post about today ..... and then while scanning the county's job resourse web site I ran across this ..... what caught my attention first and foremost was that the position was in Etna.  Then I saw that it was for a Housekeeper, Live In and out of curiosity I read the job description to see if I knew who this was. Here is the description for the job:

Run household for family with twins. Provide care for active twin girls and toddler. During school year wake girls and ready for school prepare breakfast and walk to school. Shop accept deliveries stay in home when craftspeople are working on property. Keep inventory of household food and cleaning items. Laundry and light cleaning. Pick up girls and care for them after school. Prepare dinner bathe children read stories and put them to bed. Teach Chinese culture to children. Applicant Must Reference (05215-72852) in response.

Instead of advertising for a housekeeper, live in ..... why not just advertise for a Mother and Father? Holy shit ... I don't know who this is ..... thankfully ..... I know of a few families here locally that have gone to China to adopt baby girls .... and more than likely it's one of them ..... but I wouldn't know them well enough to even know which family may have  twins.   And the pay for this fine job ..... $7.44 an hour .....

My point is this ...... if you are going to go to great lengths to adopt children ..... especially from another country ..... wouldn't you do this if you had the time to spend with them?  Who is actually going to raise these children .... a hired housekeeper?

I can't tell you why this bothered me so much ..... but it did.  It has seriously left me with a loss for words.

There are a few reasons I never had children ..... one of them was knowing that if I couldn't be there 100% to raise them (which I knew I wouldn't be .... ) then why bother? 

Annoying.  Very very annoying ...... aaarrrrrgggghhhh ...... !
